Plastic Sacked

Yesterday, Whole Foods Markets announced that it will ban plastic bags from its stores. However, like many things in the green movement, this news isn't as welcome as it might seem. If people simply go from plastic to paper bags, the environmental effect could be worse. Producing paper bags destroys trees and actually uses 4 times more energy to produce than a plastic bag.

One word, people: Cloth.
